Young People Friendly
Young people Friendly (YPF) is a local sexual health brand covering Redbridge, Barking & Dagenham and Havering.
YPF was created to make sexual health services easier for young people to find and use, by assuring them that anywhere that has the logo has been checked out by professionals and local young people and is:
-
Youth Friendly & accessible
-
Professional & non-judgement
-
Free & Confidential
All YPF sites in Redbridge offer free condoms to young people under 25.They can just ask for free condoms or show a YPF card (available to order for professionals from the resources page).
Cards are distributed in school-based Sex & Relationships Education sessions, through outreach events and by partners working with young people.
There are 18 public YPF sites in pharmacies, youth centres, GP practices and connexions.

These are open to anyone aged under 25 in Redbridge for free condoms and information. Some sites also offer EHC, Chlamydia screening or clinics. All local services can be found at: www.youngpeoplefriendly.co.uk/service-map
There are 4 closed sites running from reception areas of organisations working with vulnerable young people. These are Redbridge College, Youth Offending Team, Children Living Away from Home and Marie Stopes.
The first time a young person accesses the YPF scheme they will receive an information bag, with leaflets on a range of local services including EHC, Chlamydia screening, Brook clinics and ELOP.
